Kindergarten Readiness

Students transitioning to kindergarten the following year will automatically be enrolled in our Kindergarten Readiness Program, designed specifically for kindergarten preparation. These lessons will focus on phonemic awareness, alphabet letter and sound recognition, basic mathematic skills, and number formation and recognition. Children will complete daily activities facilitating these skills in preparation for writing, sight words, learning to read, and beginner math equations.

Pre-K Prep

Readiness students can also enroll in our Pre-K Prep class. This program is an OPTIONAL add-on session for Readiness Students but is highly recommended. This class will meet weekly on Friday mornings from 9-11:30am. During this time, teachers work closely with our readiness students to ensure their success in kindergarten. Teachers will reinforce skills learned during the week by engaging in meticulously planned games and activities. Lessons are designed to complement current Readiness topics, and many will be STEAM-oriented.

STEAM= Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

Both readiness and Pre-K Prep begin in October after the children have adjusted to the new school year. Pre-K Prep concludes at the end of April.
